Bill is a Professor of Digital Art & Design at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, He is the executive producer for the EPIC project where KCAD Students and faculty work with professional educators and media creators to produce innovative products that can aid teachers in creating engaging classrooms. Bill began his career designing toys and automotive components at Duramold Corp. Then, at GE Associates Architects, he worked as a draftsman. There, he had the opportunity to create an original design for the library in his hometown of Flushing Michigan. Then at Lear Corporation, as a product design manager, working with his team, he created automotive control panels that were incorporated into three Motor Trend “Cars of the Year”, won Ford’s best new product award and received seven patents. He eventually formed a multimedia design studio, BlackBox, which won numerous Addy and Glima awards and enjoyed clients that included Delco Electronics, Wolverine International, American Institute of Architects, and Universal Forest Products. Assistant Professor of Digital Art & Design at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, Susan is a producer for the EPIC project where KCAD students and faculty work with professional educators and media creators to produce innovative products that can compete with popular culture and aid teachers in creating engaging classrooms. Co-founder of Visualpump, a digital media company, Susan is an Illustrator who works in character design, animation, retail merchandising, children’s illustration and murals. Her clients include Underbite Games, Baby LeapFrog, Alticore, Thinkfast and the award-winning documentary ‘Lost Boy Home’. She is currently working on two children’s books: ‘Wheels’ (a tale of emotional outbursts and empathy) and ‘That Turtle Can Fly!’ (an aspirational story). Susan has been involved with murals throughout the country. She has been gallery director at both KCAD and Calvin College. Previous to teaching, she worked as a researcher for the Department of Education at the University of Cincinnati and the National Association for the Advancement of the Arts in Education. She holds a Masters of Fine Art from the University of Cincinnati Department of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning.
